Survival Sickness...

Hello, and welcome to a very significant blog, if anybody can work out why then leave a comment.

The past 2 weeks have been rather dull…

Battlefield 2 finally came and it’s brilliant, it’s totally addictive and after playing it you won’t even remember what Halo 2 was.

Focus happened but I didn’t go, I’d been for the past 2 years and a third year would have just been boring.

My mum quit her job at Land Rover, she’d been there 6 years and since her kiosk closed after Christmas they had her doing something different and she really wasn’t enjoying it at all.

Now remember that cold/allergy I had?…

Well last Wednesday I started to feel a bit yucky, my head felt fluey and my throat felt sore. When I woke up the next day I was full of the flu, I’m not talking no shitty man flu, this was proper high temperature, joint aching, bed ridden flu. I hadn’t had proper flu like this in years and I felt dreadful with it, I couldn’t move, my head was constantly spinning, all I wanted to do was sleep and get better. I was even delirious one night and thought we were being bombed (Battlefield 2 could be to blame there).

Saturday night I started getting a really nasty headache, it just kept getting worse and worse. My mum started worrying like she does and started going on about meningitis, she checked my skin for any rashes and saw a spot, I told her it was just a spot but she wouldn’t listen and phoned NHS direct.

They can’t ignore something like this so I had to go to the outpatients surgery at Selly Oak hospital at 1:30 in the morning. Sure enough it was a spot so we had to wait for a taxi home. The taxi was only 10 minutes but it felt like the longest 10 minutes of my life, not only was I feeling really ill but we had to wait with 2 pregnant chavs and a drunken woman who was looking for a fight, the taxi came and we left as fast as we could.

This week I still haven’t felt too good, I’ve been taking it easy and was going to attempt college today, however, I woke up feeling like shite again so I went back to bed. In the afternoon I really wanted some fresh air, so I went to Sainsbury’s with my mum, it was a bad move, as soon as we got there I started feeling ill again.

I just hope I start feeling better soon, I’m running out of things to blog when sat at home ill.
