Are You Adam Turbitt?...

Ok, so bringing you back up to date (well, sort of). I don’t want to spend a month doing one blog again like the Reading one so I’m doing this in 2 parts.

Part 1...

It all started when we got back from Reading, after taking it easy for most of the day we all went over to Adam’s house in the evening only to find out that Carl was leaving us. He was going to be starting university at Plymouth in September to start his computer course, it would be weird without him.

A couple of weeks later we all went to the Bilash in Knowle for a curry to celebrate Carl’s last week in Birmingham, I quite enjoyed it although I was so hungry I could have had another. Gaz had battered bananas (insert joke here), on the way out Carl fell down the steps and nearly killed an old couple while he was in mid-air. Afterwards we all went back to Adam’s house to watch Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind which was nice (don’t I know any other adjective?), even though I understood it the first time the film makes a lot more sense the 2nd time round and you see lots of little things that would otherwise go unnoticed.

On Monday the 12th of September Million Dead split up, I was gutted as they were one of my favourite bands and we had not long seen them play live at Reading, but in my view it’s better to quit now than later on down the line when Kerrang radio starts playing their songs and they start singing on T4.

Despite Million Dead splitting up life had to go on and on the 24th of September we had a wedding to go to.

Gaz and I got dressed up in our best clobber and headed on down to Weston. It had been 4 years since I last saw Carrie, so to see her get married was a little weird but it was a good day, it took place in the Beachlands Hotel in Weston Super-Mare and there were quite a few people there.

Carrie chose a claret and blue theme (she’s a Villa fan if you hadn’t noticed) and we had a 3 course meal too, we were put on a table with 3 couples but Gaz was worried in case people thought we were gay (he shouldn’t have been holding my hand).

After the meal we headed back because Gaz had work that evening, we were both so tired that I thought I saw a clown driving a car, but I wasn’t imagining things, a clown really was driving a car!

That was too much excitement for me so then I fell into a deep sleep, unfortunately Gaz nearly did too so we stopped off at a service station for a burger and a double espresso.

Luckily the double espresso was so strong that it not only woke us both up but made everything move in bullet time. We got back in the car and started driving home, it felt like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, only with coffee instead of mescaline and the M5 instead of Las Vegas.

In that week not only had Carrie got married but Carl, Jo and Heather had all left to go to university... was it something I said?

That Monday we were set a challenge by Adam, he claimed he was the only Adam Turbitt in the world, and he said that me and Gaz will never find one of his namesakes, we gladly accepted the challenge and got emailing various different Turbitts all over the world.

Did we find any?

..Well you’re going to have to wait and see because I cant be arsed to type any more.
