Say To Me, Where Have You Been?...

Back home now, so this is how my week has been:

Monday

We started out early (11:30am) and got to Bournemouth for about 3:30pm, we had an hour to kill first though because my Dad didn't finish work until 4 and we had no keys. We walked around the shops for a while and saw someone I knew from school working in Sega Park, he's been working there since 1997 and I was surprised he was still working there!

When we got to my Dad's house we had a Chinese and watched highlights of this year’s Reading Festival on MTV2 for a while before all deciding that sleep would be a better option. I had to sleep on the settee in my sleeping bag which still smelt like the campfire from Reading.

Tuesday

Went into Poole, I bought some new trainers to replace the ones that got ruined at Reading and Adam bought some t shirts and some sunglasses, I wanted to buy a DVD to watch on my Dad’s new home cinema thingy so I bought Shaun Of The Dead and Johnny English, I also bought Pixies - Wave Of Mutilation too which we listened to on the way back to my Dad’s house, for some reason Adam thought Debaser was a song about killing Kriss Akabusi…he must have misheard the lyrics!

In the evening we all went to the pub round the corner from my Dad’s house, it was a carvery called the Old Vicarage, they gave me loads of food plus you can help yourself so I had quite a bit on my plate but I was so hungry that I ate it all.

Wednesday

In the morning I wanted to get my hair cut so I went to this barbers that my Dad goes to, they were very quick so afterwards we went to Hengistbury Head which is this walk you can do which goes along the beach and then coming back you walk along the cliff, I took some photos for my project and on the way back we got bitten by mosquitoes.

Luckily when we got in my Dad had bought us fish and chips because the football was on and he didn’t want to miss it, I was bored so I came on the internet for a few minutes, Gemma was online and expressed her anger at missing the Distophia gig.

I downloaded some episodes of South Park to watch as well, one episode was about this bloke called ‘Michael Jefferson’ who came to live in South Park, he liked to have kids stay round his house and made his own children wear masks, I’m sure they got that idea from somewhere else. The other episode was about the kids buying ninja weapons and each having their own secret identities until Kenny throws a ninja star in Butters’ eye and they have to take him to hospital, it was hilarious!

Thursday

I’d heard about this windsurfing competition at Sandbanks which was sponsored by Animal, so we went over to watch it, the only trouble was there was a lot of wind but no windsurfing, eventually Gayla sent me a text asking if we were going to join her and her ratty boyfriend for a drink so we left sandbanks and headed back to my Dad’s house to get changed only for her to text me back a few minutes later saying something had come up and could we leave it until tomorrow.

When we got back to my Dad’s house he wasn’t feeling too good so we got an Indian takeaway and my Dad cooked himself these chicken things that looked gross. My Dad then started downloading some Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band tracks which I hadn’t heard since I was little, it really bought back some memories.

Friday

Got woken up at 8:30am by a txt and Adam walking into the lounge saying that he wants to watch TV, as I was eating my breakfast I was watching Scuzz and this Nordic band came on called Nightwish I was trying not to laugh but Adam really liked them.

We then went into Bournemouth to look round the shops, I didn’t see anything worth buying but Adam bought the Nightwish album, we then met Gayla and her boyfriend for a quick drink, it really was a quick drink though because after half an hour they had gone - how rude!
As we were on our way back to my Dad’s house we put the Nightwish album on to listen to, all my need to laugh at Nightwish earlier was finally released as after 15 seconds of hearing the CD Adam yelled out “what the hell is this crap?”, however I wasn’t laughing long as we got caught in traffic and it took over an hour to get back!

When we finally did get back my Dad suggested going to this pub called the Fox and Hounds, the ceilings were really low there but I had steak which was delicious and as we were eating our meals a cat ran in and shat on the carpet, this little girl then started to play with this cat and as it was trying to run under our table away from her she told us that she was going to call it snowy, the only problem was that it was dark grey!

Saturday

We looked at Saturday’s weather on Friday night and it said it was going to be sunny so we decided to go to fishing at Chesil beach, when we got there it was raining so we sat in the car waiting for the rain to stop, after about an hour of waiting we decided to go to Weymouth instead.

As soon as we got to Weymouth the rain stopped and the sun came out, I’ve always liked Weymouth, I used to go there twice every year when I was younger, we even went with the school one year.

After a while it started to get really cold and windy and it started raining so we headed back to the car, my Dad spotted some people fishing so we watched them for the next half an hour or so, I was really cold and wanted to go back to the car, when we finally did get back to the car my Dad said we can have a Chinese for tea, I put a tape of Bonzo Dog on before getting bored after a few minutes and falling asleep.

Sunday

Came home, got lost on the way but got only because I had fallen asleep (again) and Adam didn’t know which way to go. In the evening we went to the pub quiz at the Red Lion, we lost, we then went back to Jo’s house and watched some Billy Connolly.

Monday

Slept.

Tuesday

Did the pub quiz at the Sharmans, lost again, it was Jo’s last night here because she was leaving for Wolverhampton the next day, she was meant to go last week but she was the only person there so she came home, it’s not going to be the same without Jo about, I’m going to miss the comments about my hair and the bruises.

Wednesday

Woke up with a bad neck, it hurt like mad, I think I must have slept in a draft or something but it’s much better now!
